If an action is affected in any way by the Sim's current emotion, the action will have a colored spot on the left end of its button in the pie menu. For example, if a Sim is Angry, the “Use” command for a toilet becomes “Take an Angry Poop.” Some of these changes, such as that one, is just cosmetic and will not have an actual affect beyond minor animation changes.
When a Sim is having an emotion, they may have some passive effects on object interactions. Conversely, a moodlet that makes a Sim Inspired (such as taking a Thoughtful shower) will last several game-hours. Luckily, the Uncomfortable emotion is easily canceled by simply fixing the problem. For example, need failures, such as a Sim going critical with their Bladder or Energy meters, trigger the Uncomfortable emotion, which will override every other emotion. The power of a moodlet is usually inversely proportional to how easy it is to reverse. In general, fulfilling the emotional Whims will reward you with more Satisfaction than normal Whims.Įmotions can be triggered from many factors, and are not equal.
You can manually cancel the emotional Whim, but it will be replaced with another one of the same emotion. If her emotion changes, the Whim will automatically cancel and be replaced.
